settling in...

I start my days off with a look out my window...

and some coffee, ok a massive amount of coffee.

Little things like coffee and my items from home made me feel more comfortable here.

I cannot bring everything I need from home, so I started looking around my neighborhood for grocery stores, second-hand shops, etc...I found these great pots and pans, a colander and utensils all for under £6.00 at the local second-hand shop!!

I also found a clothes airer to save me money on drying everything. I grew up hand washing my small items and love the idea of saving money!

Every once in awhile I have to wash something in the laundry facilities.

But if I can help it, I would rather use my little tub to scrub!

Yay, I FINALLY got my Oyster travel card in the mail. I am everywhere now!!!

I found at some point I needed to purchase an alarm clock so I can make it to my class, right! It is nice to have a radio as well.
It is almost 9:00 p.m. right?....I will get the hang of this at some point.

Taking a stroll down the isle at the grocery store and familiarizing myself with the different products...

some a bit more interesting than others

That is just funny...

I have settled into my classes and started my work.

I am finding my way around London and the Tube stations..

The traffic is so slow today. Where is everybody?...

These are the best granola bars I have ever eaten! My roommate found them at our local grocery store. Yummy! they only make them on certain days of the week, so we try to make it up there early to get a treat!

This is my work desk in my cozy little room. I added a few images from home and some inspiring images that I picked up recently to add to my wall. I already have piles of paper and messes here and there. I feel at home. I love my little space.

This is my train stop, which is very close to the campus and halls of residence.

I am really enjoying my process of settling in and am feeling comfortable in finding my way around with much ease. I can walk to my grocery store, which is just a few blocks away from where I stay.
